Description

The kGoal Boost is the only device that measures and tracks Kegels as you sit on top of it, no insertion or privacy required.

Other Kegel exercisers require undressing or vaginal insertion, which can make using the devices intrusive or inconvenient—and of course, prohibits men from using them.

With the kGoal Boost, both women and men can build pelvic floor strength through a variety of app-guided, gamified workouts.

As the Boost's soft air pillow conforms to your body and detects your Kegels, your contractions appear on-screen in your app as you hit targets or play games like pinball.

The biofeedback promotes proper technique and helps you stay motivated as you earn workout scores for pelvic floor strength, endurance and control.

In a feature unique to Boost, the device also offers three down-training workouts designed for pelvic floor tightness, which often coincides with weakness. Practice relaxing your pelvic floor muscles during a Breathing or Meditation workout, or interweave periods of strength and rest in a Combined Training session.

In a survey, 90 percent of Boost users said the gamified workouts helped them exercise more frequently. Pelvic floor exercises can help both men and women restore bladder control while enhancing sexual performance and satisfaction.

kGoal recommends using the device for at least three days a week for five minutes a day to see improved workout scores within six to eight weeks.

How to Use

kGoal Boost detects pelvic floor contractions through most types of clothing, with the exception of stiff fabrics like heavy denim. Your seating surface should be flat and rigid, with no padding.

To begin a workout, simply sit on the Boost like it's a bike seat, with your perineum on top of the soft air pillow. Most users point the button backward, although the device can be oriented in either direction.

Connect the Boost to the accompanying app via Bluetooth, then choose one of these games: Bricks, Moving Target, Shape Shift or Pinball. You can also design your own custom workout in the app.

The Boost has a minimum 2-hour continuous use battery life and can be charged with a USB cable.

Safety and Effectiveness

SAFETY AND RESEARCH

• FDA status: Considered a general wellness product not regulated by the FDA

• Clinical research: None

DISCLAIMERS AND WARNINGS

• If you have any existing pelvic health conditions, please check with your doctor or pelvic floor physical therapist to get their thoughts on whether kGoal is appropriate for your specific situation.

• Check with your doctor about use during pregnancy, since there are certain situations (e.g. placenta previa) where kGoal may not be appropriate. Following delivery, we recommend waiting at least 6 weeks before using kGoal, but again it is best to check with your doctor about when it is appropriate to start given your specific situation.

• If you have pelvic pain, you should see a pelvic floor physical therapist before embarking on Kegels or pelvic floor strengthening; Kegels will not be helpful (or can even exacerbate the problem) if the pain is caused by hypertonic (overly tense) pelvic floor muscles.

Makes Kegels more fun

I wasn't sure if this was really a necessary purchase since you don't actually need a device to do Kegels. But I have found that I am much more motivated to actually do them with this device. When I'm playing a game, the time goes by quickly and I am concentrating on winning! I don't get distracted and bored like I do with regular Kegels on my own.

Kegels with your clothes on

I tried a different Kegel device that you insert internally and was discouraged by how long it took to get set up. It can take 10 minutes by the time you undress, get into position, get the device to connect to Bluetooth, etc. The Boost makes that all easier because you just sit on it with your clothes on. So I am more likely to use it and don't mind sitting on it in the living room while watching TV with my husband.
